Category: Literature. Manglesh Dabral is an Indian writer of Hindi language, who writes poetry. Apart from India, his poetry works are quite popular in the neighbouring country Pakistan, like great Indian writers, Vikram Seth and Mahasweta Devi. He has published five collections of poetry, two collections of prose and a travel diary named Ek Bar Iowa.

Many of his works have been translated to other languages.

Manglesh Dabral was born on 16 May in present-day Uttarakhand. He belongs to the rural village of Kaphalpani in present-day Tehri Garhwal district. He completed his studies in Dehradun. Later he worked as a journalist in Delhi, for different types of publications including a few magazines. Then he moved to Bhopal where he worked as the Assistant Editor in Purvagrah.

He has also authored books on literary criticism. While at Delhi, Pratipaksh, Hindi Patriot, and Aaspaas were among the journals with which he was associated with, as a journalist.
